number of universities in England and abroad. Dr Qulsoomis truly a lifelong learner. As well as her PhD, she is a Chartered Health Psychologist, has an MSc in Teaching
Psychology, and is currently working towards another MSc in Counselling

for many years. Qulsoom was Head of Department in
Psychology and Counselling at University of Greenwich's School
of Health and Social Care and was responsible for the management of many
staff. Her career in the field of health psychology
enabled her to recognise the powerful influence of the
mind and emotions on the body and disease. This culminated in herPhD thesis, which deals with the effect of stress on physical, psychological
and immune health status. She then trained as a faith
counsellor, which equipped her to relate to people within
the context of their religious and spiritual convictions. And now her training as a counselling psychologist brings together her knowledge of psychology, health and illness and her skills and techniques in a way that brings long-lasting
benefits to individuals and groups. Qulsoom brings
together a number of related disciplines in a coherent, creative and unique
way. |
