Humanity faces issues the resolution of which cannot be reduced only to quantitative measures- more goods; more leisure; more technology- to feed the illusion of an unbridled self with limitless rights. Mankind has become ever more alienated from its other roots in the realm of the Unseen. The injunction of all the great spiritual traditions to witness the Signs of Creation in peoples' own selves is a fundamental requirement if an individual seeks the integral unity that lies at the heart of what it means to be a fully human being. The revitalisation of a true spiritual quest is now of critical importance if we are not to be overwhelmed by the very forces that we have set into motion. Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri is a realized master, teacher, and inheritor of the Prophetic path to divine realization. He has instructed people throughout the world on this path for over 20 years and has written numerous books on various topics concerned with the wisdom teachings of Islam. Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri is an isthmus between the ancient wisdom teachings and our present time. For generations Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri?s ancestors were among the greatest teachers of Islam. Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri was steeped in these traditions of worshipping and balanced living from childhood. He left his home for universities in England where he distinguished himself and obtained several degrees in business and science. Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri, has received permission (idhn) as a Shaykh of Instruction, from numerous lines (tariqahs) of Sufic teaching including the Darqawi-Shadhili, the Chisti, and the Rifa`i to name a few. His teaching calls to the fulfillment and completion of human potential both inwardly and outwardly in a way that reflects our time yet remains faithful to the original Islamic model.
