Graduates and Under Graduates are invited to a special session to learn more about enroling for this exciting four year course at Sayyida Zainab, Damascus. The first batch of students will start their studies in September 2007 at the newly established, Islamic Institute for Postgraduate Studies in Sayyida Zainab, Damascus (Syria).

The four year course is designed specifically for you and the needs of the community in today's world. It is an independent institute set up by The World Federation that offers a postgraduate Masters programme in Islamic Studies, combining standard Hawza training modules with modern academic subjects, validated by a renowned university in England. Here is your chance to follow the edict of the Qur'an that asks you to go forth to seek knowledge and come back to help your community.

At the end of the four years, you:

- will have a masters degree from a University in UK

- will be proficient in Arabic to allow you to explore the vast knowledge of Islam available in Arabic

- will have had an in-depth study of Qur'an and its exegesis, sciences of Traditions, Jurisprudence, Principles of Jurisprudence, Logic, History, Islamic Theology, Philosophy and Ethics.

- will have mastered the art of communication with different strata of humans, to lead congregational prayers, to conduct seminars, to guide children's madressah, schools, to interact with the youth

- will be able to proceed for a Phd, or help the community as a resident aalim or go into academia or go into research or go on to translate and write books.

- will have interacted with 59 others at the institute over the 4 year period.
