Prince Hussain Aga Khan Marries Miss Kristin J. White

Aiglemont, Gouvieux, France, 18 September 2006 - Prince Hussain Aga Khan, second son of His Highness the Aga Khan and Princess Salimah Aga Khan, married Miss Kristin White, who adopted the name Khaliya upon embracing Islam, on Saturday 16th September. Princess Khaliya is the second daughter of Professor Norman White and his wife Margaret of Montclair, New Jersey, U.S.A. Mr. White is a Professor of Information, Operations and Information Systems at the Stern School of Business at New York University. Mrs. White is a Psychologist in private practice in Montclair.

A private ceremony was held in the historic Chateau of Chantilly, and attended by the families of the bride and groom, friends, and members of the Ismaili Leaders???√?√? International Forum. The ceremony was officiated by His Eminence Sayyed Mohammad Musawi from London, England, and included recitations from the Holy Quran and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as well as prayers.

On Saturday evening, a ball was held at Aiglemont for the numerous friends of the married couple and their families.

On Friday the 15th, a civil marriage ceremony took place at Aiglemont, the Aga Khan???√?√?s family home in France. The marriage was officiated by the Mayor of Gouvieux, Mr. Patrice Marchand.
