Ayatollah Khamenei declared this year the year of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(S)
In a message meant for all Muslim of the world, Ayatollah Khamenei spoke to an assembly at the holy shrine of Imam Redha(AS) in Mashad. The address coincided with the start of the Solar Islamic New year (March 21).
???√?√∫Today the Islamic Ummah and our nation are in need of the Exalted Prophet more than ever; are in need of his guidance to his glad tidings or warnings, to his message and spirituality, and to the compassion he taught to human being. Today the lesson of Islam???√?√?s Prophet for the Islamic community as well as the whole of mankind is knowledge ability, strength, morality, magnanimity, compassion, struggle, self-dignity and resistance. Therefore this (Solar hijri) year naturally must be named the year of the Exalted Prophet Muhammad???√?∂???√?∂We must put on our life???√?√?s agenda the Prophet???√?√?s moral lesson, and his lessons of Knowledge ability, compassion magnanimity and unity, which he taught us as our lifetime values???√?√π, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his immaculate household) had the most exalted virtues of all divine prophets who guided human beings in the course of the history of mankind. He noted that the Holy Prophet of Islam was the most brilliant galaxy with numerous shining stars of noble virtues.
"Among the main characteristics of the Holy Prophet of Islam were knowledge combined with morality, government coupled with wisdom, worshipping Almighty Allah along with serving the people, holy struggle accompanied by mercy, honor and dignity coupled with humbleness, being up-to-date in addition to being far-sighted and honesty toward the people combined with political dexterity," Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out.
At this juncture, the blessed name and memory of the exalted Prophet is alive more than ever; and this is a Divine Wisdom and Divine Covert Grace.
He further stated, that ???√?∂.. the Holy Prophet of Islam is also the pivot of unity of all Muslim nations in the Islamic world."
He added that: "The entire history and all the years belong to that unique and unmatched personality. Ayatollah Khamenei said that the designation of the current year as the 'Year of the Holy Prophet' is meant to indicate the Muslims determination in this present year to take firm strides on the path to the society and civilization as was envisioned by the Holy Prophet of Islam. |
