Iran:
?∑ Medical Referral Program: This month 13 patients from Ahwaz, 27 from Qum, 8 in Tehran and 25 patients from Iraq were assisted on the medical referral program. Their treatments ranged from appendicitis, to liver cancer and kidney failure, to coronary artery disease. From October 2005 to August 2006, a total of 781 patients have been treated under this program. Also, IRAC in conjunction with LFT, were able to assist a 6-year old Afghan boy suffering with lymphoma, who crossed over the border. After the surgery, his father discovered the child would need further chemotherapy in Tehran and was in despair as he had run out of funds. IRAC???s staffs were able to establish contact with MAHAK charity, which specializes in assisting children with cancer and inshallah will support the treatment.

In addition, funds have been transferred to buy Eid clothes for 90 Iraqi orphans, as these children are in desperate
need. Please continue to support us during this blessed month, during which giving reaps additional rewards.
Lebanon:
?∑ The Lady Fatemah Charitable Trust has so far transferred funds to assist 50 of the most deserving families in Southern Lebanon as part of the Ramadhan Iftaar project. Field visits were made to the villages to identify the families who are most in need of assistance. Sadly, as the need is so great and funds are limited, we have yet to satisfy the need of all the poor families who are entitled to assistance. Hence we are desperately in need of further funds, so please give generously. Please visit the website for a full report, and moving photographs. http://www.ladyfatemahtrust.org/inner.php?page=project_details&item_id=258 http://www.ladyfatemahtrust.org/inner.php?page=ignew&cat=21
India:
?∑ Education: An appeal has been received from a school in Neelsandra where very destitute families live. 40 deserving children require sponsoring, and full details will soon be posted on the website. Please help these children look forward to a brighter future.
?∑ Healthcare: The Trust assisted a lady suffering with Leukemia in India with the cost of her bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy. Alhamdulillah she is now in remission.
Africa:
?∑ Healthcare: The Children???s Burns Ward at Mt Meru hospital Arusha has twenty beds, in an environment, which is clean and looked after by very competent doctors and nurses. Sadly, this ward often has severe burns cases as the families in the surrounding villages usually live in one-room huts, and the open fires used for cooking are exactly where the children play. Recently, a young boy who was treated in the burns unit for seven months was discharged after successfully completing his treatment, Alhamdulillah. http://www.ladyfatemahtrust.org/inner.php?page=ignew&cat=25&gallery=440
